As<br>\nversatile as they are tasty, dals and lentils are used to make salads,<br>\nappetizers, soups, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts, too. They fit<br>\nwell with other foods, such as grain, vegetables, herbs, and spices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Servings: 6<br>\nTime to Prepare: 20 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color\">Ingredients:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>2 x 15 oz cans chickpeas (drained)<br>\n2 x 15 oz cans chopped tomatoes<br>\n1 cup coconut milk<br>\n4 tsp. garam masala (curry powder)<br>\nSalt and pepper to taste<br>\n6 cloves garlic (peeled and chopped)<br>\n1\/2 cup chopped onions (optional)<br>\n1 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color\">Instructions:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>If you use the optional items like onions and bell peppers, first<br>\nheat a little coconut oil in the same Pot (or use vegetable broth<br>\nfor oil-free cooking). Fry the vegetables for about five minutes.<\/li><li>Add in that Pot all the ingredients including chickpeas, chopped<br>\ntomatoes, coconut milk, garlic, and garam masala.
